To Carlisle from York, via the Settle to Carlisle line (steam from Hellifield):

To Carlisle from Chester. Outbound journey via the Settle to Carlisle line, (with steam from Hellifield). The return journey is via the West Coast Mainline, (with steam to Carnforth):

A child ticket is for a child aged 16 or under.

Supplement for a private table for two in first class or dining £35.00 per person.

When booking Premier Dining, we require a deposit of £50 per person, with the balance payable 28 days before your date of travel. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

We are able to offer a vegetarian dining menu with 7 days advance notification but regretfully we are unable to offer any other special dietary requirements (i.e. nut allergy, vegan, gluten free diets etc). 

Fares are subject to a minimum £3.75 booking fee.

Please note that there is a £15 Admin Fee when an amendment is made to a booking.

All return tickets purchased from West Coast Railways for the 'Dalesman' train trips are purchased on the basis that the return trip must take place on the same day and on the same trip. For any queries regarding your departure times please contact the booking help line.
