1. General Terms
West Coast Railways gift vouchers, e-Gift Cards and Plastic Gift Cards (collectively “Gift Cards”) are:
Issued by West Coast Railways, Jesson Way, Crag Bank, Carnforth, Lancashire, LA5 9UR; and are issued subject to these Gift Card terms and conditions ("Ts & Cs"). West Coast Railways reserves the right to change these T’s and C’s from time to time in its absolute discretion by posting amendments on its website.
West Coast Railways Gift Cards can be redeemed against any trip promoted by West Coast Railways Limited on their website (https://westcoastrailways.co.uk/). The West Coast Railways Gift Card can also be used to fully or part pay for any West Coast Railways gifts or on-board extras as long as they are pre-booked before travel.
Please ensure that you take your Gift Card with you when you travel. To avoid disappointment, we suggest that Gift Card holders mention or present the Gift Card at the time of booking.
With the exception of delivery fees for plastic Gift Cards purchased online, no service or use fees of any kind will be imposed on purchasers or recipients of Gift Cards in connection with the sale of Gift Cards.
The Gift Card is a prepaid card, not a credit card or debit card; it becomes inactive upon use of all the card value. The expiration date for the Gift Card is stated on the Gift Card. The amount available for redemption on each Gift Card, shall, in the absence of manifest error, be determined by West Coast Railways.
Gift Cards may be combined with other forms of payment.
Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of issue.
Gift Cards are not exchangeable for cash unless required by applicable local law and have no value unless redeemed in accordance with these terms. Any tax liability, including disclosure, connected with receipt or use of the Gift Card is the recipient’s responsibility.
West Coast Railways reserves the right to charge an admin fee of £15 for amendments to a Gift Card.
3. Lost or Stolen Gift Cards
West Coast Railways are not responsible for Gift Cards that are lost, stolen or destroyed. If your card is lost or stolen, please alert us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 0333996 6720 from 9:00 AM to 16:00 PM, Monday to Friday and we will endeavor to freeze the existing balance of the West Coast Railways Gift Card and can arrange the issue of a replacement card to you for that amount. We reserve the right to cancel a West Coast Railways Gift Card if we believe that the card was obtained through fraudulent or unauthorized means. West Coast Railways is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Cards, or the security of any information contained on them.
4. Your Data
By purchasing your Gift Card or e-Gift Card on westcoastrailways.co.uk/gift-vouchers, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information to West Coast Railways for the purpose of the issue and redemption of your Gift Card or e-Gift Card. Should you expressly opt in to receive marketing communications, you will receive marketing communications from West Coast Railways until such time as you opt out.
5. Limitation of Liability
West Coast Railways make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to Gift Cards, including without limitation, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. If a Gift Card code is non-functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, shall be the replacement of such Gift Card.
Voucher holders are to ensure they redeem their vouchers prior to the expiry date shown, as once the voucher has expired, the details will be removed from the system and no longer valid for making any reservations for travel. This includes, credit vouchers, e voucher and the manual vouchers issued by post.
If for any reason you are experiencing difficulties, you will need to contact us prior to the voucher expiry date.
