Monday 26th October: Operated by West Coast Railways on behalf of Muncaster Castle, this ghost train takes the scenic route to Ravenglass via Barrow, with spectacular coastal and mountain views, enough to just take your breath away. Begin your journey from Manchester, Preston, Lancaster, Carnforth or Ulverston with a return trip on the ghostly-themed train. The fun begins onboard with spine-tingling entertainment, setting the perfect spooky atmosphere. 

Wednesday 28th October: Operated by West Coast Railways on behalf of Muncaster Castle, this ghost train takes the route from Carlisle to Ravenglass but due to the continued closer of the Bransty tunnel near Whitehaven, the route will take in the south route via Penrith, Shap, Oxenholme, Carnforth and Ulverston. Begin your journey from Carlisle, Penrith Oxenholme, Carnforth or Ulverston, with a return trip on the ghostly-themed train. The fun begins onboard with spine-tingling entertainment, setting the perfect spooky atmosphere. 

Upon arrival at Ravenglass, a transfer coach will whisk you to the enchanting gardens of Muncaster Castle, where you’ll be immersed in the Muncaster Halloween Family Festival!

The festival will be bigger and better than ever, featuring a thrilling  Zombie theme. Highlights include the famous Halloween Maze, live performances, walk about acts, the Pumpkin Patch where each child receives a free pumpkin, and spooky activities with The Weapons Hall, Trails, and a Costume Competition. Explore the haunted Castle, rumoured to be one of the most haunted houses in the UK, and join the Monster Parade..
