Skegness to Windsor

Departing: Skegness, Wainfleet, Boston, Heckington, Sleaford
Please Note: This trip is hauled by vintage diesel aboard our beautifully restored land cruise train 'Spirit of the Lakes'

Join us for a relaxing and nostalgic day out on our beautiful Pullman train 'The Spirit of the Lakes' for a journey around the North London Line to the riverside destination of Windsor.

Departing Skegness around 0615 our journey today takes us on an interesting route down the East Coast Main Line towards Finsbury Park from where we take an elevated route around our capital to Windsor. From your comfortable reserved seat you will enjoy views across Camden Lock, Gospel Oak, Acton and the River Thames, before arriving in historic Windsor.

Windsor and Eton Riverside Station is well located for Windsor Castle, the shops, the River Thames and Eton High Street. Windsor is a very attractive riverside location and you may wish to take a walk through Windsor Great Park during your visit. Of course there is always the option of taking a stroll along Eton High Street to Eton College, probably the most famous seat of learning in the country, and a beautiful building in its own right.

After a break of around three hours in Windsor our vintage diesel locomotive will haul our beautifully restored train back around London and up the East Coast Main Line to home stations arriving back into Skegness around 2150.
