Please Note: This trip is hauled by vintage diesel aboard our beautiful land cruise train 'Spirit of the Lakes'
We depart from London Victoria at approximately 08:45 and head to our destination of Bath via Andover and Salisbury. After over three hours in Bath we return home behind one of our Diesel work horses planning to arrive in London Victoria for 20:38. The return journey will be via Salisbury and Southampton.

Bath is a beautiful city at any time of year, but Christmas is a special time to visit as the centre comes alive with festive cheer. Bath's rich heritage which runs from Roman to Regency and beyond comes alive with Christmas stalls, festive food, and merriment throughout the day. The magical and award-winning Bath Christmas Market is back and it’s bigger and better than ever! There are over 150 twinkling chalets spread out across the picturesque Georgian streets of Bath selling handmade and local Christmas gifts. The chalets will sell a range of seasonal gifts, food and drink and the proposed site will be similar to previous years by re-introducing the areas around the beautiful Bath Abbey. Plus, this year it's their 20th anniversary!
Soak up the sights, smells and festive ambience of Bath at Christmas and enjoy more than a market. There’s a packed calendar of family-friendly events, top restaurants, beautiful architecture and the UK’s only natural thermal day spa, Thermae Bath Spa.

Pullman Dining: On the outward journey passengers will be served a full English breakfast with complimentary Buck´s Fizz. Champagne reception followed by a delicious four course dinner accompanied by a quarter bottle of wine, will be served on the return journey. A complimentary service of tea or coffee on both journeys. We kindly ask that passengers do not consume their own alcoholic drinks in Premier Dining Class.
We are able to offer a vegetarian menu with 7 days advance notification but regretfully we are unable to offer any other special dietary requirements (i.e. nut allergy, vegan, gluten free diets etc).
Pullman First Class: Passengers will be served a breakfast bap followed by a selection of Danish Pastries on the outward journey and a savoury selection followed by the cake of the day on the return journey. To accompany this, there will be a complimentary service of tea and coffee for both legs of the journey.
Standard & First Class: First Class passengers will have access to the buffet carriage for the purchase of light refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments or indeed a tasty picnic to enjoy as the countryside passes by!
A child ticket is for a child aged 16 or under.
First Class, Pullman First Class and Pullman Dining passengers can book a private table for two passengers for a supplement of £25 per person. Fares are subject to a £3.75 booking fee.
