Jacobite Afternoon Service - Urgent Notice

The Jacobite afternoon service starts on the 5th May 2025, departing Fort William at 12:50.
The trips will run seven days per week until the 26th September 2025.
We are pleased to announce that to start the season off (for the first few weeks), the carriages used will be all ex British Rail Inter City rolling stock in their traditional colours of Blue & Grey.
This is a rare opportunity to see these carriages, especially when hauled by an historic steam engine.
These carriages are not available on the Jacobite morning service.
All booked passengers will be notified of this rare opportunity where it affects them.
History:
The BR InterCity Mark 2 (MK2) coaches were a crucial part of the InterCity network from the 1960s, serving as a link between the steam era and the subsequent privatization of the railways.
These coaches were built between 1963 and 1975. All coaches are fitted with CDL and most were fitted with Air Con.
