The Salisbury Pullman
Skegness to Salisbury
Departs – Saturday 06 April 2019
From Skegness, Wainfleet, Boston, Heckington and Sleaford.
Salisbury, known as the ´city in the countryside´ was named as one of the world´s top ten cities to visit in 2015 by Lonely Planet. It is not just the awesome sight of the cathedral rising up above the city that makes Salisbury such a special place to visit - the timbered buildings, the thriving market, some fine historic houses and a collection of museums all add to the reasons to make the journey south.
On Saturdays the historic Charter Market fills the market place at the heart of the city and there are plenty of options for food and drink. For many, however, a visit to the medieval Cathedral is a must with its beautiful Chapter House and copy of the Magna Carta on display. (The original is currently being restored). Whatever your choice, Salisbury will not disappoint.
Of course on a tour such as this the journey is a big part of the day. Travelling on board our comfortable and lovingly restored Pullman train with its large picture windows will afford you many interesting views particularly as we take the high level line around North London. This route offers views of the new Eurostar Terminal, Camden, Acton and much more. Enhance the journey even further with an at seat service of a full English breakfast and a delicious four course dinner preceded by canapés and Champagne served to your table in our dining section.
We expect to depart from Skegness at around 0615 returning at around 2200 to give around three hours in Salisbury.
Pullman Dining On the outward journey passengers will be served a full English breakfast with complimentary Buck's Fizz plus elevenses or light lunch (depending on finalised timings). Champagne and canapés followed by a delicious four course dinner accompanied by a quarter bottle of wine, will be served on the return journey.
