Sheffield to Bournemouth and Poole or Poole
Departs – Thursday 02 August 2018
From Sheffield, Chesterfield, Loughborough and Leicester.
Take a nostalgic trip to the English seaside aboard our beautifully restored heritage train and enjoy rail travel as it used to be. Roomy coaches with all seats at tables, large picture windows through which to enjoy the scenery and, should you choose, fine dining to enjoy during the journey.
Our heritage diesel with its load of memory jerking, British Rail maroon liveried coaches will depart early morning from Sheffield and head south through Leicester picking up as detailed above. Continuing on, we speed our way to the south coast and our destination - the resort of Bournemouth - one of the first great resorts to make its name on the south coast.
Golden sands, splendid sea views, tropical gardens and a cosmopolitan town centre give Bournemouth plenty of opportunities to entertain its many visitors and keep its name as one of England's most popular resorts.
Poole is a coastal town, known for its large natural harbour and sandy beaches. The Old Town has Georgian houses and Poole Museum.
After our visit, it's back to our train and perhaps a bite to eat from the buffet or a four course dinner to enjoy as the miles roll by. A nostalgic day to look back on for years to come.
PREMIER DINING CLASS: Includes an at seat silver service of full English Breakfast in the morning and a four course meal on the return journey all freshly prepared by our skilled chefs on board the train.
FIRST CLASS: First Class passengers will be served a selection of Tulip Muffins, freshly brewed coffee and fine teas on the outward journey and a savoury refreshment box followed by cake of the day and freshly brewed coffee and fine teas on the return journey.
CHILDREN UNDER 5 can be brought on the train free of charge only if not taking up a seat and sharing seats with accompanying adults.
REFRESHMENTS: A buffet counter service of snacks, hot and cold drinks, and alcoholic beverages is available to all our Standard and First Class passengers throughout the day. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments or indeed a tasty picnic to enjoy as the countryside passes by!
First Class and Premier Dining passengers can book a private table for a supplement of £20.00 per person.
