2nd June 2020
Revised Jacobite provisional start date Wednesday 1st July.
Your welfare is our only priority, protecting the NHS, the Jacobite will only run when it’s safe for our passengers, colleagues, local residents and with the backing of the UK Government.
After the latest statement on Thursday 28th May, Scotland’s First Minister has announced that ‘lockdown’ in Scotland will continue for three more weeks, which takes us to Thursday 18th June.
We are therefore changing our proposed Jacobite start date to 1st July from our anticipated date of Friday 19th June. We wholeheartedly apologise to any passengers booked to travel on these days.
We will contact all passengers booked to travel prior to Wednesday 1st July over the next few days to discuss the options for your booking either to convert your booking to a VIP Credit voucher to the full value plus an additional 10%, re book for an alternative date or receive a credit in full.
I am sure you will appreciate it is impossible to guarantee passenger travel, this is a moving target and very difficult to predict, if for whatever reason the lockdown is still in place on Wednesday 1st July we will not run, and will advise you at the earliest opportunity that been the case all bookings will be transferred to a VIP gift voucher to the value of your booking plus an additional 10% for you to use towards your next trip with us. Alternatively, we will issue a full refund or change your booking to a later date.
Once again we apologise for this delay. Our thoughts are with the people suffering from this dreadful virus and grateful to the people of our magnificent health service.
