9th July 2020
Revised Jacobite provisional start date Wednesday 15th July.
Your welfare is our only priority, protecting the NHS, the Jacobite will only run when it’s safe for our passengers, colleagues, local residents and with the backing of the UK Government.
We received some positive news yesterday. It was announced by the Scottish Government that they intend to lift the restrictions on the tourism and the leisure sector on Wednesday 15th July, and this would be confirmed on Thursday 9th July.
We are therefore gearing up and preparing the Jacobite to take to the rails once more, passengers travelling can be assured that all relevant safety precautions will be met and further details will be sent to travellers well in advance. Visit The Safe Way, to find out how we're preparing.
We will contact all passengers booked to travel prior to Wednesday 15th July over the next few days to discuss the options for your booking, to either change it to a later date or convert the booking to a VIP Credit voucher to the full value plus an additional 10%, or alternatively receive a credit in full.
If for whatever reason the Government will not allow us to travel on 15th July, we will advise passengers at the earliest opportunity.
Once again we apologise for yet another delay. But this is a move in the right direction and we look forward to welcoming you on board, “The Greatest Railway Journey In The World”.
