York

York - Rich in ancient history

Rich in ancient history, romantic ambience and fun activities, York is the perfect destination.

Renowned for its exquisite architecture, tangle of quaint cobbled streets, iconic York Minster and wealth of visitor attractions, York is a flourishing city.

Delve into the city's vibrant cafê culture, take time out to enjoy some of the country´s most talented street entertainers or simply watch the world go by while sipping a drink by the river.

Visitors to York can enjoy hundreds of attractions, museums, historic buildings, tours, shops, restaurants and bars within the compact walled city. You´re never far from an awe inspiring moment.

York is a place of contrasts, a medieval walled city with the ancient shops of the ‘Shambles’, the magnificent Minster, historic churches, intriguing museums and offering the best of modern shopping. In fact something for everyone!

Scarborough

Scarborough

If York is the northern heritage capital of England, Scarborough surely offers the best in British seaside entertainment.

Scarborough, Britain´s first seaside resort, has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years and is still as popular as ever.

Boasting some of the country´s cleanest and most beautiful beaches, the safe, sandy, award-winning North Bay and South Bay beaches are broken by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of the past, the historic Scarborough Castle.

Wide sandy beaches, popular attractions, a ruined castle, a miniature railway and some fine seafront walks offer a great day out for every member of the family.

Whichever destination you choose, once you have alighted from the “Scarborough Spa Express” at either York or Scarborough you can be assured of some of Britain’s finest holiday attractions and entertainment. You will have also enjoyed a thrilling means of transport that’s a great experience for both young and old – and don’t forget to say “Hello!” to the driver!

Through the large picture window of the vintage carriages you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Yorkshire countryside

There is a buffet on every train offering hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
