Please Note: This trip is hauled by vintage diesel
An early vintage diesel hauled festive trip to the ancient capital of England. Departing from the Midlands, this Festive Special heads south east bound for one of the most visited cities in the United Kingdom; Canterbury.
CANTERBURY: Canterbury is just a stone´s throw away from Dover and its importance in British history cannot be over stated. It has been, and still remains today, the spiritual home of the Church of England and played host to one of the more gruesome periods of English history culminating in the murder, and resulting martyrdom, of Thomas Becket. Geoffrey Chaucer´s ´A Canterbury Tales´ played its part in laying down the foundations of the English language.
